I graduated from Manhattan College with a Professional Certificate in Mental Health Counseling. I completed my clinical hours at Social Work Counseling Services, PLLC, in Astoria, NY. I worked with clients, individual and couples, with issues related to anxiety, depression, sadness, alcohol/substance abuse, relationship issues, and life transitions.
I completed my internship at The Bereavement Center of Westchester where I organized and ran group counseling sessions related to grieving and healing for children ages 6-10 that had lost a parent or a sibling. In addition, I provided individual counseling to a variety of different ages centering on loss, grief and healing.
I graduated with a Masters of Science degree in Guidance and Counseling from The College of New Rochelle. Since 2000, I have worked as a Guidance Counselor with New York City Department of Education providing individual and group counseling to a diverse population focusing on academic, social/emotional, and career goals.
